Relationships and Sex Education (RSE)
We are committed to our pupils’ academic, cultural, emotional and moral development and to prepare them for the responsibilities and experiences of adult life. We believe that an important part of this development and preparation, therefore, is the provision of age-appropriate Relationship and Sex Educational (RSE) for all our children. Our RSE involves learning about the emotional, social and physical aspects of growing up, about relationships and sex. Some aspects of RSE are taught in Science and other aspects are taught as part of Personal, Social, Health and Economic education programme.
Please find below an overview of the RSE curriculum at St Cecilia's. Before teaching the RSE content we ensure to share all resources to be used with families so they have a clear understanding of the content being discussed.
