Pupil Premium

What is Pupil Premium?

Pupil Premium is additional government funding for schools in England to support disadvantaged pupils in raising their educational attainment and achieving their full potential.
St Cecilia's Pupil Premium Strategy
At St Cecilia's CofE Primary School , we that with the highest expectations and the right support, all pupils, irrespective of their background, can make strong progress across the whole curriculum. We believe that with the right kind of support, we can overcome barriers to learning so that all of our children are ready for the next stages in the education journey.
The barriers that some of children face can be complex as often pupils fall in to multiple categories such as Special Educational Needs or English as an Additional Language. Weaker oracy skills, a lack of cultural capital and social and emotional challenges are just some of the typical barriers these children face. Therefore we take a personalised approach to overcoming these barriers.
The Keys Academy Trust ensures that all of schools has a sharp focus on disadvantaged learners and have set out a clear strategy to support this and the schools to achieve their aims. For more on this, please click here.
