Inclusion and SEND

At St Cecilia’s, inclusion sits at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to ensuring that every pupil—regardless of their needs, background or starting point—feels valued, supported and able to succeed. Our inclusive ethos is reflected in our daily practice, our curriculum, and the warm, nurturing culture of our school.
We provide high‑quality, personalised support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Through early identification, carefully planned intervention and close partnership with families and specialist agencies, we ensure that pupils with SEND achieve strong outcomes, develop confidence and experience success both academically and socially.

We are dedicated to supporting our Pupil Premium (PP) learners. By removing barriers, offering targeted support and creating rich opportunities beyond the classroom, we ensure that every child can aspire, achieve and flourish. Our provision is closely monitored to ensure it has a meaningful and positive impact on each child’s progress and wellbeing.

As a diverse and welcoming community, we celebrate and actively support pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL). Our language‑friendly classrooms, high‑quality teaching and carefully structured support enable EAL pupils to develop their English proficiency while maintaining pride in their cultural and linguistic heritage.
